TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers (18-7 overall, 5-2 HCAC) swept the Rose-Hulman FIghtin' Engineers on Saturday afternoon 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-18).
 
Leading the charge was sophomore Elliot Mays (Jeffersonville, Ind.) with 10 kills while junior Maggie Schweitzer (Shelbyville, Ind.) dished out 23 assists.
 
The first set saw the Blue and Red surge ahead 9-2 following a 6-0 rally. The scoring outburst continued as Mays and freshman Abbey McCoy (Indianapolis, Ind.) landed kills that extended the Panther lead to 21-12. Junior Jessie Stenger (St. Leon, Ind.) secured the set one win with a kill, 25-14.
 
The second set was very back and forth when Rose-Hulman claimed the 12-10 lead after rattling off three straight points. However, Hanover refused to roll over as they clawed their way back pulling within 20-19 before flipping the script. A four point rally was just what they needed to secure the 25-23 win.
 
The final set was all Hanover as senior Aubrey Walton (Linton, Ind.) led a five point surge to send HC on top 8-3. With all the momentum the Panthers ran away with the set win scoring four of the last five points for the victory.
 
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 31 when they take on Franklin. Game time from Collier Arena is set for 7:00 PM.
