HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (5-7-0 overall and 2-2-0 HCAC) dropped a 1-0 decision in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday to Manchester.
Hanover was led in the contest by sophomore
Jose Perez (Nashville, Tenn.) with three of the team's nine total shots. In frame, senior
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) charted 90 minutes of work with five saves.
The Spartan defense was able to stifle the Panther attack for most of the contest using an early second half goal to secure the win. Hanover got one final attempt at the equalizer in the 82
nd minute as senior
Joel Yann (Louisville, Ky.) fired a shot that was denied by the Manchester keeper.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 when they welcome Franklin. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
