PREVIEW: Women's Soccer set to dance in NCAA Championships

HANOVER, Ind.
– The Hanover women's soccer team hits the road for St. Louis, Mo. taking on Sewanee as part of the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
 
AT THE DANCE: Hanover is making its first appearance since the 2021 season when it took on Dominican University at Washington University in St. Louis. The Panthers are seeking their first NCAA Tournament win since the 2016 campaign when they defeated Illinois Wesleyan 2-1 in overtime.
 
IN THE RANKS:
The Panthers enter the weekend as an offensive powerhouse ranking among the top 25 in Division III in total points (174), win-lose-tie percentage (.842), and total goals (64). Hanover has outscored its opponents 64-13 in 2023 with eight shutouts. They have posted a 15 game unbeaten streak with the last loss coming at NCAA Division I foe Indiana University.
 
THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH:
Sewanee makes its third trip to the NCAA Championships with its last visit coming in 2015. The Tigers have registered a 17 game unbeaten streak and outscored opponents 38-9.
 
THE STAGE IS SET: The two teams will hit the pitch on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Washington University in St. Louis at 8:00 PM CST. The winner will advance to Sunday, Nov. 12 taking on the winner of WashU and Maryville.
