CINCINNATI, Ohio - Hanover went on the road to take on nonconference foe Wilmington to move to 2-1 overall on the year, the Panthers claimed the contest 96-69.
The first half of the game was very close when Hanover made a big rally late into the frame to capture the 46-36 advantage. Hanover put on a successful shooting performance in the first half going 16-31 from the field for the 46-36 halftime lead.
Senior
Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) who started for the Panthers scored in the second half, going 2 for 2 on his free throws. The Panthers continued to score and play stellar defense, outscoring the Quakers by 17 points in the second half. They went 15 for 37 from the field overall while going 3 for 10 from beyond the arc. The Panthers continued to cause problems for Wilmington in the second half as they went 10 for 27 shooting and 4 for 11 from the three-point line. Freshman
William Herald (Fort Thomas, Ky.) led the Panthers with 16 points, going 4 for 7 from the arch and making all 4 of his free throw attempts. The Panthers received their second win of the season, the final score being 96-69. Hanover is now 2-1 on the year.
The Panthers will travel to Wash U to play Wisconsin-Eau Claire on November 17
th, tip-off at 5:00 pM CST.
