DANVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover Panthers (0-1 overall) opened the 2023 season this evening with a trip to non-conference foe Centre, dropping the contest 20-1.
Hanover was paced in the contest by junior
Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) with one goal and three shots, two of which landed on frame.
Centre surged ahead early using a 14 goal first half outburst when Hanover responded.
Masi McNally-Henriksen provided the lone Panther dagger as she navigated the Colonels defense netting the strike at the 14:14 mark in the third quarter.
However, Centre would tack on six more blows to claim the 20-1 season opening win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 18 when they welcome Albion as part of their home-opener. Game time is set for noon.
