Women's Lacrosse battles in home contest with Albion

HANOVER, Ind. – Junior Taylor McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) netted two goals to lead the Panthers (0-2 overall) on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action with Albion. Hanover fell in the contest 23-3.
 
Junior Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) also added a Panther goal on three shot attempts.
 
After surrendering two early blows to the Britons the Panther offense set up shop in Albion territory with junior Taylor McNally-Henriksen piloting the attack. The junior netted the Hanover goal at the 13:38 mark, 2-1.
 
She added another first quarter strike at the 9:34 point in the opening stanza following a free position attempt from the right hash, 5-2. However, the Albion offensive pressure ensued as they extended their lead to 15-2 at the break. The Panthers were paced in the first half by Taylor McNally-Henriksen with three first half attempts, two landing on frame.
 
In the second half, Albion continued to get pressure on frame as they used a seven goal third quarter to push their lead to 22-2.
 
The Panthers final blow of the contest came with just 5:10 remaining as Masi McNally-Henriksen netted her lone strike of the afternoon.
 
Freshman Marissa Bardo (Indianapolis, Ind.) posted a strong afternoon in goal charting a game-high 10 saves through 60 minutes of work.
 
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 28 when they travel to Texas and take on Wartburg. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
