Men's Tennis drops battle with non-conference foe Asbury

Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover men's tennis team opened the spring season this afternoon taking on non-conference foe Asbury, they dropped the contest 8-1.
 
Leading the Panthers was Ilya with the lone Panther win at no. 6 singles. The freshman dropped the first set before securing the second set and claiming the tie break.
 
In doubles action, junior Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) and freshman Abhay Singh (Ambala, India) battled tough as part of no. 2 doubles before ultimately surrendering the match 8-5.
 
Keal also turned in a competitive match as part of no. 1 singles falling in the match 6-2, 6-4.
 
His double partner, Singh drew a set split as part of no. 4 singles before falling in a tie break.
 
Hanover returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 19 when they take on Wittenberg. First serve from Top Seed is set for 3:00 PM.
