FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover Panther (2-5 overall) knocked off Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Franklin 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles action, senior
Jedrek Brodzki (Warsaw, Poland) and freshman
Nicolas Zumba Coronado (Buckhannon, W.V.) claimed no. 1 doubles 8-7 (4-0) while teammates fifth year
Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) and junior
Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) captured no. 2 doubles 8-3.
Freshman
Abhay Singh (Ambala, India) and junior
Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) swept doubles play capturing no. 3 doubles 8-6.
The success continued in singles play as Keal won no. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1. Brodzki went 2-0 on the afternoon winning no. 2 singles 7-5, 6-4.
Coronado captured a win as part of no. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2 while Singh won no. 4 singles 6-0, 6-3.
The final Panther win came at no. 6 singles as freshman
Ilya Gromochenko (Tucson, Ariz.) won the match 6-0, 6-1.
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, March 14 when they host Hastings College.
