HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover football team has announced their 2023 schedule under the guidance of head coach Matt Theobald.
 
Head coach Matt Theobald enters his eighth season at the helm of the Blue and Red winning Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference automatic qualifiers in 2018 and 2019 to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Hanover opens the 2023 campaign with back-to-back road trips heading to Centre College on Saturday, Sept. 2. The Panthers then trek north to Olivet College on Saturday, Sept. 16 as they compete as part of the MIAA (Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) Crossover.
 
Hanover welcomes the Thunder of Trine to Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 23 for their home opener and non-conference finale.
 
The HCAC schedule unlocks on Saturday, Sept. 30 when the Blue and Red welcome the Yellow Jackets of Defiance. Hanover currently holds a seven game win streak against the Yellow Jackets including a 37-20 victory a season ago.
 
The Panthers hit the road to Bluffton University on Saturday, Oct. 7 before welcoming the Spartans of Manchester on Saturday, Oct. 14 for Homecoming.
 
The final two road trips of the regular season will feature a slide over to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Oct. 21 and Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, Oct. 28 to take on the Fightin' Engineers of Rose-Hulman.
 
The Panthers conclude the 2023 season on Saturday, Nov. 11 welcoming rival Franklin for the playing of the 93^rd annual Victory Bell Game. Hanover returned the Bell to the confines of Alumni Stadium with a 24-3 victory a season ago.
