LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover women's tennis team competed against Hastings College (Neb.) on Wednesday evening, falling to the Broncos in a competitive 5-4 match.
Despite playing strong in doubles action, the lone victory came at no. 2 doubles as the team of junior
Isabelle Roberts (Brownsburg, Ind.) and junior
Melaina Tippery (Loogootee, Ind.) charted the victory 8-4.
Tippery continued her winning ways as she was able to pick up the Panthers second victory of the contest at no. 2 singles knocking off the Bronco opponent 6-1, 6-2.
No. 3 singles saw her doubles partner, Roberts remain perfect as she captured the win 6-2, 6-1.
Sophomore Lyla Waskon (Scottsburg, Ind.) claimed the Panthers final victory of the matchup in dramatic fashion forcing a tie breaker set 4-6, 6-0, 10-3.
Hanover returns to action on Thursday afternoon when they welcome Midway to the Zeddies Tennis Center.
