ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Hanover Panthers (2-3 overall) completed the sweep of North Park on Sunday evening as they took down the Vikings, 5-2.
Senior
Jacob Dupps (Louisville, Ky.) pushed the Panthers ahead in the top of the first inning as he doubled to right field scoring both junior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) and sophomore
Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.), 2-0.
Hanover added an insurance run in the top of the second inning following a junior
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) single to center field. Roudebush charted another RBI later in the inning pushing Hanover to the 4-0 advantage.
North Park got one run back in the bottom half of the inning, 4-1.
However, Hanover refused to be tamed as junior
Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) doubled to left field plating the Panthers final run en route to the victory, 5-2.
Junior
Marcus Goodpaster (Indianapolis, Ind.) picked up the win on the mound throwing seven complete innings with seven strikeouts. Sophomore
Jaden Siemer (Edgewood, Ky.) charted the save.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, March 8 when they take on Spalding. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM.
