Box Score MEQUON, Wis. - Hanover (6-7 overall) wrapped up its weekend road trip with a stop at Concordia Wisconsin, falling 18-8.
The Panthers were paced in the contest by sophomore
Owen Cuniffe (Indianapolis, Ind.) with two goals.
After surrendering two goals,
Owen Cuniffe netted the Panthers first dagger at the 10:40 mark in the first frame, 2-1.
However, Concordia Wisconsin continued on the attack pushing the first quarter lead to 8-1.
Hanover finished with 15 first half shots, entering the intermission trailing 13-1.
Freshman
Colin O'Brien (Somers, Conn.) made his way into the scores column for the Panthers just minutes into the second half after taking an assist from junior
Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) to pull them within 14-2.
The Blue and Red tacked on two more strikes with sophomore Alex Klienhelter (Fishers, Ind.) adding both blows to cut the difference to 16-4.
The final moments saw Hanover net three goals recorded by
Cole Finley, senior
Dirk Meinhart (Elizabethtown, Ky.), and Cuniffe as the Panthers dropped the contest 18-8.
Hanover returns to action on Friday, April 21 when they travel to Spalding.
