NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover men's tennis team saw their season come to an end on Sunday afternoon as they fell to Transylvania as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, 5-4.
After surrendering a tight no. 1 doubles and no. 2 doubles the Panthers were able to get on the board, collecting the team's first win was the no. 3 doubles team of junior
Rodolfo Jacome (Guayas, Ecuador) and freshman
Abhay Singh (Ambala, India) winning 8-7.
In singles action, the competitive battle ensued as freshman
Vincent Jaouen (Orleans, France) claimed Hanover's first singles win at no. 5, 7-5, 6-2.
The winning ways continued for Hanover as senior
Jedrek Brodzki (Warsaw, Poland) notched his first win of the afternoon at no. 2 singles 0-6, 6-0, 6-3.
Singh would tie the contest at 4-4 after claiming the no. 3 singles 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 before Hanover surrendered a very exciting no. 6 singles.
