HANOVER, Ind. – Junior
Taylor McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) paced the Hanover (1-6 overall) attack on Thursday afternoon as they dropped a competitive match-up with Thomas More, 15-6.
Taylor finished the contest with three goals on five shots.
The Blue and Red found themselves on the wrong side of a 3-0 deficit when junior
Taylor McNally-Henriksen halted the charge. The junior picked up her 19
th strike of the season with 8:32 to play in the first quarter. She wasted little time adding her second goal propelling Hanover into quarter number two trailing just 4-2.
However, the Saints refused to be tamed tacking on three more goals entering the intermission leading 7-2.
The second half saw freshman
Elaine Sanders (Columbus, Ind.) enter the scores column as she took a pass from freshman
Abby Mensing (Parker, Colo.) cutting the difference to 7-3. Thomas More closed out the frame netting six straight for the 13-3 lead.
The final two Panther goals came from the sister duo of junior
Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) and Taylor as Hanover dropped the non-conference contest 16-5.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 8 when they travel to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Franklin. Draw control is set for 1:00 PM.
