HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers dropped their regular season finale to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Franklin on Wednesday afternoon at Kops-Bedel Stadium. Hanover surrendered game one 10-0 before dropping game two 11-2.
GAME ONE
Hanover dropped the opener 10-0 after surrendering three runs in the fifth inning and seven in the sixth inning. The Panthers charted five hits led by sophomore
Carson Kruse (Fort Branch, Ind.) with two for the Blue and Red.
Sophomore
Lauren Beaman (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the start in the circle for Hanover throwing five and a third innings allowing 12 hits.
GAME TWO
The Panthers jumped onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning as sophomore
Dani Steward (Shelbyville, Ind.) collected the RBI scoring Beaman, 1-0.
However, the excitement was short lived as the Grizzlies used a four run second inning and a four run third inning to surge ahead 8-2.
They secured the conference sweep in the top of the fifth inning scoring three runs en rote to the win.

Hanover returns to action the weekend of May 11-13 when they compete as part of the HCAC Tournament.
