HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's soccer team (3-5 overall) fell in a second half heartbreak with Otterbein on Saturday afternoon, 2-1.
The Panthers jumped on the scoreboard first in the 20
th minute with sophomore
Omar Dizdar (Bardstown, Ky.) connecting for the goal, 1-0.
However, Otterbein would respond in the second half finding the equalizer in the 71
st minute, 1-1.
They wasted little time finding the go-ahead strike as they netted a ball in the 78
th minute for the win, 2-1.
The Panthers finished the contest with a game high 14 shots, 11 of which landed on frame.
In goal, senior
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) played a full 90 minutes recording three saves on five shots faced.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 27 when they open Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action with Earlham. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
