Hanover Moves to 2-1-1 in Conference With Win Over Manchester

North Manchester, IN - The Panthers went on the road today to take on conference opponent Manchester Universtiy.

The first half of play got off to a shaky start as the Panthers let in an early goal by the Spartans in the eighth minute of the contest.

Soon after a minor defensive lapse, Hc was able to right the ship by putting one past the Manchester goalkeeper and tying the game at 1-1, thanks to a goal by fifth-year back Clayton Anderson on an assist from fellow senior back Austin Howlerda. HC out-shot the Spartans the rest of the way, closing the half with 9 shots (MU only having 2), and 4 total corner kicks.

Hanover would build on their pressing first half, tallying 10 more shots in the second. It wasn't until the seventieth minute of play that the game would be decided as junior forward Patricio Campos would go on to score unassisted, making it 2-1, HC. The dagger would come just minutes later as sophomore defender Louan Seveno would score his first of the season, assisted by freshman midfielder Cole Hubert.

Hanover went on to win the contest 3-1 over the Spartans.

HC's next contest is a home match-up against the Mt. St. Joeseph Lions, this Wednesday, October 16th. Kickoff is set for 3:30PM EST.
