HC Dominates MSJ in Conference Match-Up

Hanover, IN - The Panthers hosted conference opponent Mt. St. Joeseph University (Lions) today in a brisk mid-afternoon match-up.

Hanover came out blazing, putting one in the back of the net in the first seventeen seconds - a goal by junior forward Omar Dizdar, assisted by freshman midfielder Cole Hubert.

The Panthers smelled blood in the water immediately, and made sure to capitalize. HC went on to score two more times in the first five minutes. Goal number two came just before the third minute of play as junior forward Omar Dizdar added to his point total for the day, assisting teammate and sophomore defender McClain Barber. Just minutes later, junior forward Omar Dizdar would once again put one past the Lions' keeper after a great ball played by sophomore midfielder Miles McMillen.

Hanover continued to stay on the prowl as the half progressed, peppering the opponent's goalkeeper with shots. Hanover's fourth goal would come in the twenty-sixth minute of play from non-other than junior forward Omar Dizdar, marking his first career hat-trick, assisted by fifth-year midfielder Xander Oschner Then, less than a minute later, junior midfielder Mateus Araujo netted his first goal of the season, making the score 5-0, HC.

The Panthers ended the half out-shooting the Lions 21-1 (16 on goal), with 10 attempts from the corners, 5 assists on 6 goals, and leading 6-0.
