Box Score NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Panthers hit the road for Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Manchester, defeating the Spartans 55-7.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Sophomore
Eian Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) dominated under center throwing for 284-yards and five touchdowns. He finished the contest 21-of-30 with a 32-yard hookup.
Senior
Jalen Peck (Bloomington, Ind.) and senior
Mason Williams (Fort Mitchell, Ky.) added two touchdown receptions a piece. Peck surpassed 100-yards receiving with 119.
The Panther defense was the story line holding the Spartans to just 122 total yards, just 11 rushing yards. Senior
Sherman Davis (Rockmart, Ga.) paced the way with three solo tackles including three tackles for loss.
IN THE ENDZONE
Hanover scored early and often as Roudebush connected with Peck at the 10:12 mark in the first quarter for the 7-0 lead. The 18-yard reception capped a 12 play 75-yard drive.
The Panthers added another first quarter score as Eian found senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) to extend the Blue and Red lead to 14-0.
Hanover continued to be all gas as sophomore
Clint Hearne (Madison, Ind.) connected for a 23-yard field goal, bringing the score to 17-0.
Peck and Williams provided the final first half scores with Williams scoring first at the 8:15 mark. Mason hauled in a 26-yard reception while Peck caught an 18-yard pass propelling Hanover into half with the 30-0 advantage.
Williams scored his final touchdown of the afternoon early in the second half completing a 72-yard eight play drive, 38-0.
The final two scores came on the ground with Roudebush finding the endzone on a quarterback keeper to close out the third frame, 45-0.
Freshman Blake Nation (Smithfield, Ky.) added his first career touchdown and the game's final score on an 18-yard scamper and score, 55-7.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 2 when they return to Alumni Stadium to celebrate Senior Day with the Beavers of Bluffton.
