HANOVER – Hanover College opens its 125^th season of men's basketball on Friday, hosting Berry College in Collier Arena at 7 PM ET.
Hanover returns twelve players and three starters from last season's team that finished with an 18-10 record and a trip to the HCAC Tournament Championship game. Hanover also adds six talented freshmen to the mix this season.

Berry will bring a talented roster north from Georgia to face the Panthers. The Vikings return four starters from a team that finished last season 19-10 and was the SAA regular season and tournament champions on their way to an NCAA Tournament berth.

About the Berry Vikings
• Berry College is located in Rome, Georgia and is home to 2,360 undergraduate and graduate students.
• The Vikings compete in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
• The Vikings have won 4 consecutive SAA Championships and have been to the NCAA Tournament in 3 of the last 4 seasons.
• Berry returns the SAA Defensive Player of the Year and 2^nd Team All-SAA selection Braxton Benham, a 6'1 senior point guard from Cartersville, GA.
• Berry was picked to finish 3^rd in the SAA this season in the SAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
 
The 2024-25 Hanover Panthers
• Hanover has won eight straight season openers, a streak that began on Nov. 15, 2016 with a 97-42 win over Boyce College.
• Hanover looks to continue to make Collier Arena one of the toughest venues in Division III Basketball. The Panthers have a home record of 79-14 (84.9% WP) since the 2016-17 season.
• The Panthers return two players listed on the HCAC "Players to Watch List". Coleman Sater, a 6'5 forward from Edgewood High School (Ellettsville, IN) returns for his final Hanover campaign and Cam Freeman, a 6'2 point guard from Brebeuf High School (Indianapolis, IN) returns for his sophomore season after an impressive debut season which saw him earn an Honorable Mention All-HCAC selection.
• The Panthers were picked to finish 2^nd in the HCAC in the HCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
