Hanover concludes season in HCAC Tournament Championship

Box Score ANDERSON, Ind. – The Panthers (18-10 overall) concluded the 2023-24 campaign on Saturday evening falling in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship to no. 1 seed Anderson, 90-73.

Hanover was led in the contest by senior Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) with 23 points while senior Ty Houston (Union, Ky.) netted 18 points. Sophomore Coleman Sater (Florence, Ky.) and sophomore Avery Saunders (Ladoga, Ind.) also both landed in double figures.

Anderson surged ahead early using an 8-0 run before Sater halted the attack. Hanover cut the first half deficit to 19-18 following a freshman William Herald (Fort Thomas, Ky.) three-pointer before claiming their first lead at the 10:22 mark.

The excitement was quickly dwindled as Anderson was able to flip the script with a 12-0 run that propelled them into halftime leading 42-33.

The second half would see HC pull within 48-40 following a Houston free throw. But the Anderson offense remained red hot as they led by as many as 79-54. Greenamoyer landed the final three-pointer for the Panthers at the 1:31 mark as they surrendered the HCAC Tournament contest.
