ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Hanover (4-10 overall) split day one of the Pioneer Classic hosted by Transylvania winning game one 7-6 before dropping game two 11-4.
GAME ONE

Junior
Lauren Beaman (Indianapolis, Ind.) led the Panthers pitching a complete game with one strikeout. Beaman surrendered six runs on eight hits.
AT THE DISH
Beaman also found success at the plate going 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI. Freshman
LauRie Harmless (Coatesville, Ind.) also charted an RBI for the Blue and Red.
After falling behind 2-0 the Panther offense erupted. Beaman led the surge with a double to center field in the first inning before a freshman
Haley Kiefner (Indianapolis, Ind.) double in the second inning flipped the script in favor of the Panthers, 4-2.
Later in the inning, Beaman claimed her second RBI with a single up the middle extending the Hanover lead, 7-2.
Wis.-Stout looked to complete the comeback scoring two in the fourth inning and one in the fifth inning and one in the seventh inning before being retired.
GAME TWO

Dani Steward (Shelbyville, Ind.) got the call throwing three and a third inning surrendering seven hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrain jumped on the board first claiming the quick 8-0 lead. Hanover looked to erase the deficit as sophomore
Cadence Northern (Jeffersonville, Ind.) collected the RBI in the fifth inning, 8-1.
However, most of the offense belonged to the Bulldogs as they added three runs in the sixth for the non-conference win.
