TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Hanover women's tennis team dropped a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at Rose-Hulman, 7-2.
Despite being swept in doubles play, the no. 3 doubles team of sophomore
Alyssa Moore (Charlestown, Ind.) and junior
Lauren Hale (Crawfordsville, Ind.) battled tough dropping the contest 8-6.
Hale claimed the team's first victory at no. 5 singles as she defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-1.
The final Hanover victory came at no. 4 singles in a dramatic match as sophomore
Hailey Vandeventer (Bloomington, Ind.) won 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7).
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, March 23 when they take on Transylvania at the Zeddies Tennis Center.
