Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (3-6 overall) cataloged an impressive afternoon in frame despite falling to the Tigers of DePauw in non-conference action, 17-5.
Senior
Jackson McKeigue (Olmsted Twp., Ohio) put on a clinic with a game-high 12 saves. The Panthers combined for 22 saves.
Junior
Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.) posted his second hat trick of the 2024 campaign with a team-high three goals on five shots.
Kleinhelter reported the game's first goal at the 11:42 point, netting his ninth of the season, to give Hanover the 1-0 advantage.
However, DePauw responded by adding four goals in the first frame and five in the second for the 9-1 lead. Hanover attempted to halt the surging Tigers late into the half as a methodical offensive set resulted in a fantastic shot attempt by junior

DePauw entered the intermission leading 9-1 despite a strong goalie performance by
Jackson McKeigue with 11 saves.
McKeigue continued to be a key piece in the Panther defense as he helped drive Hanover to their second goal of the afternoon. Sophomore
Ethan Abdoo (Bloomington, Ind.) added the helper finding Kleinhelter at the 8:00 minute mark, 11-2.
The Tigers refused to be tamed using a six goal outburst to extend their difference. Kleinhelter added his hat trick with just over eight minutes to play off an assist by junior
Owen Parker (O'Fallon, Mo.).
The final two Hanover blows came from the stick of sophomore
Colin O'Brien (Somers, Conn.) as DePauw claimed the game 17-5.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, March 27 when they welcome Kalamazoo to Alumni Stadium. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
