HANOVER, Ind. – Seventh inning slump caused destruction in Panther tilt with Wilmington. Hanover fell in game one 17-7 and surrendered game two 8-6.
GAME ONE

Lauren Beaman got the call pitching six and a third innings with one strikeout. She surrendered 15 runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Wilmington struck first in the top of the second inning using a single up the middle for the 2-0 advantage.
However, Hanover responded in the bottom of the third inning as Beaman doubled to left field before freshman
Olivia Planck (Lexington, Ky.) singled tying the score 2-2.
The Panthers claimed their first lead in the fourth inning getting RBI from freshman
LauRie Harmless (Coatesville, Ind.) and junior
Alex Miller (Miamisburg, Ohio), 4-2.
But Wilmington responded adding five runs in the fifth inning to reclaim the 6-4 difference.
Hanover continued to battle adding one run in the bottom half of the fifth inning and two runs in the sixth inning for the 7-6 advantage.
The seventh inning saw the Wilmington offense erupt scoring 11 runs en route to the 17-7.
GAME TWO

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover struck first in game two using a two run first inning. Pacing the attack was junior
Carson Kruse (Fort Branch, Ind.) with a homerun to center field, 2-0.
Wilmington responded in the next half inning plating two runs to knot the contest 2-2.
However, the bottom of the second inning would see Beaman collect a RBI as she singled to right filed pushing Hanover back on top, 4-2.
The back-and-forth battle ensued as Wilmington tied the contest in the top of the fourth inning, 4-4.
Despite a two run sixth inning, the Quakers completed what seemed like déjà vu. Wilmington staged another seventh inning comeback scoring four runs for the win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, March 30 when they travel to Manchester. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
