HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (4-5 overall) opened home play at the Zeddies Tennis Center this afternoon, caving in a non-conference action to the Little Giants of Wabash 8-1.
DOUBLES ACTION
The team of junior
Pedro Macedo (Petropolis, Brazil) and junior
Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) claimed the lone Panther victory as part of no. 2 doubles 8-5.
The Blue and Red surrendered no. 1 doubles and no. 3 doubles by a score of 8-2.
SINGLES PLAY
The Panthers battled tough in singles play as the junior
Alberto Castillo (Pozuelo De Alarcon, Spain) dropped a tough no. 2 singles match 1-6, 5-7.
Sophomore
Ilya Gromochenko (Tucson, Ariz.) had a strong afternoon as part of no. 5 singles dropping the match 6-4, 6-2.
