Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Parker leads Hanover in HCLC opener at Transylvania

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Panther men's lacrosse team (2-3 overall, 0-1 HCLC) traveled to Transylvania and faced off against the Pioneers in hopes of winning back-to-back games. However, Hanover dropped the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference contest 20-3.

Junior Owen Parker (O'Fallen, Mo.) led the Panthers with two goals and an assist on a team-high seven shots.

Hanover fell behind early in the contest as the Pioneers found the back of the net in the first 10 seconds of play. Hanover surrendered another goal moments later when senior Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) found the back of the net with 9:28 left in the second period, 4-1. The Panthers never seemed to find rhythm and finished the first half down 7-1.

The Hanover offensive struggles continued in the second half as junior Owen Parker (O'Fallen, Mo.) delt the lone third period Panther goal while giving up six goals to the Pioneers. The fourth period saw Parker net his second goal of the contest despite surrendering the game to Transylvania 20-3.

The Panthers will look to bounce back when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to take on the Student Princes of Heidelburg University.
