MANCHESTER, Ind.- The Panthers (18-8, 9-2 HCAC) concluded a weekend series against the Manchester Spartans (9-19, 3-10 HCAC) on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the series 14-4 and 5-2.

GAME ONE
 ON THE MOUND
Sophomore
John Girard (3-2)(Richmond, Ky.) started the game and through six strong innings giving up only two earned runs and striking out seven. Freshman
Dalton Sisson (Bowling Green, Ky.) finished the game allowing no hits and striking out two.

AT THE PLATE
Hanover came out on fire scoring seven runs in the second inning as Junior
Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.) started the run party with a two RBI double, 7-2. The Panthers put the black and gold to sleep in the sixth inning scoring another seven runs paced by a home run hit from Junior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) securing the run rule win.

GAME TWO
ON THE MOUND
Junior
Chris Hautman (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) (7-1) threw a complete game allowing only two runs and striking out 10 batters to shut down the Spartans.

AT THE PLATE
Senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) plated the first run for Hanover with an RBI single.

However, Manchester was able to score two runs of their own to answer back and make the score 2-1 in the first inning.Â

In the third inning, the Red and Blue tied the game with a sacrifice fly hit by Roudebush, 2-2.

The fifth inning, Senior
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) hit a 2-run dinger dead center to propel the Panthers in front 4-2. The final run of the game was scored in the seventh inning on a sacrifice ground ball by Oesterling.

The Panthers will look to defend their home field on April 20 against Mount Saint Joseph in the first game of a three-game series. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
