LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Panthers concluded the 2024 season on Saturday afternoon, falling in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Championship to no. 1 seed Transylvania, 27-4.

Four different Panthers recorded goals in the contest – junior
Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.), junior
Owen Parker (O'Fallon, Mo.), sophomore
Colin O'Brien (Sommers, Conn.), and senior
Cole Finley (Louisa, Va.).
Finley also added a team-high four shots, with all four landing on frame.
Senior
Jackson McKeigue (Olmsted Twp., Ohio) led the Blue and Red in frame tallying a game-high 13 saves.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
Parker recorded the first strike for the Panthers at the 13:17 point in the first frame to knot the score 1-1. However, the Pioneers rallied netting nine straight goals for the 10-1 difference.
Kleinhelter halted the attack on a man up opportunity to pull Hanover within 16-2 at the break.
The third quarter saw HC go back-to-back as O'Brien and Finley made their way into the score's column. But the Transylvania attack prevailed claiming the HCLC Tournament crown.
