HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (24-12 overall) dropped a non-conference battle to regionally ranked Spalding on Tuesday afternoon 11-8.

Junior Ashton Dickman (Greenfield, Ind.) got the start pitching three complete innings surrendering three runs on one hit. He added three strikeouts.
AT THE PLATE

David Newbanks (New Albany, Ind.) plated the game's first runs in the bottom of the second inning following a double to right field, 2-0.
However, Spalding blew the contest wide open using a four run home run in the fourth inning to push the difference to 7-2.
The Panthers looked to respond in the bottom half of the inning as sophomore Robert Carrol (Hendersonville, Tenn.) hit an RBI double before senior
Alex Christie 9Greenwood, Ind.) traded him places with a double to left field, 7-4.
But once again, Spalding used a four run seventh inning to extend the lead back to 11-4.
Hanover looked to rally in the seventh inning as Newbanks charted a three run bomb before a senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.) homer in the eighth inning pulled HC to the final score of 11-8.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, May 4 at noon when they welcome Rose-Hulman.
