HANOVER, Ind. - The Panthers (0-2 overall) look to bounce back this week by welcoming the Comets of Olivet to Alumni Stadium.
THE MATCH-UP
Hanover and Olivet square off for the third consecutive year with the series tied 1-1. The Panthers won the last meeting at Olivet 67-17. Senior
Blake Huffman (Columbus, Ind.) led Hanover on the ground recording 105 yards on nine carries and two rushing touchdowns. Senior
Jalen Peck (Bloomington, Ind.) added 124 reception yards and two touchdowns.

Jamey Deckard (Bedford, Ind.) paced the defensive effort with five tackles and a half sack for a two-yard loss. The senior also recorded a pass breakup.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Freshman
Brian Wall (Sellersburg, Ind.) is having an impressive freshman campaign ranking second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in tackles with 18. The freshman turned in a season-high 13, eight solo stops, in the Panthers clash with the Bulldogs of Butler.
Deckard has defended the airway creating a no-fly zone with a pair of pass breakups and an interception. The stat line ranks the senior second among the HCAC.
THE COMETS
Olivet enters the weekend 1-1 overall after defeating Wooster 27-23. The Comets were led in the contest by quarterback Thomas Foust with 124 passing yards and 91 yards on the ground.
Amir Jones kept Wooster in check tallying a team-high 14 total tackles, 10 solo stops, and one tackle for loss. Reid Montreal added seven stops and one pass breakup.
HOMECOMING
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they welcome HCAC foe Mount St. Joseph to Alumni Stadium for Homecoming. The contest will mark the kickoff to the HCAC season with a conference title on the line. The Lions were pegged as the favorite to repeat as league champs with the Panthers nipping at their heels with a second place mark in the poll.
