SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers opened the 2024 campaign with a trip north for the Grizzly Invite, taking 10^th overall in the 21-team field.
 
Junior Callie Swegman (Columbus, Ind.) led the Blue and Red finished 41^st overall with a race time of 24:30.63. She averaged a 4:05.1 pace for the 6k run.
 
Freshman Lanie Roberts (Salem, Ind.) secured 45^th in the event with a time of 24:38.97 while freshman Kaylee Kinser (Charlestown, Ind.) captured 64^th in a time of 25:07.01.
 
Junior Sarah Jones (Greencastle, Ind.) landed 68^th overall crossing the finish line in a time of 25:09.91.
 
Rounding out the race for Hanover was sophomore Paige Wildman (Celestine, Ind.) in 114^th, junior Elyse Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Ohio) in 136^th and junior Camryn Mulzer (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.) in 182^nd.
 
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 14 when they host the Hanover Invitational.
