HANOVER, Ind. – In non-conference action Friday night, Hanover (11-7 overall) dropped a four-set match with John Carroll 3-1 (25-27, 15-25, 25-23, 18-25).

Junior
Abbey McCoy led the attack for the Panthers, recording a team-high 11 kills. She also added 19 digs.
Sophomore
Madison Schicker added 25 digs, while setter sophomore
Brooke Gervers dished out 34 assists.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The opening set saw two teams heated in battle. The Blue Streaks of John Carroll surged ahead 10-6 when a service ace by senior
Kelsey Waggoner pulled HC within 12-11.
The Panthers continued to dominate the front line of the offense with a senior
Elliot Mays kill, tying the contest. The two teams exchanged points when a Waggoner kill tied the score at 25-25. However, John Caroll was able to secure the final pair of points for the win.
The lone Hanover victory came in set three. After falling behind 10-5, McCoy was able to place her serve perfectly to cut the difference. Hanover rattled off five straight points before finally topping the Blue Streaks on the serve of freshman
Brooklyn Borden, 21-18. The winning point followed a fantastic block by Gervers and senior
Maddie Robertson.
