HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers (8-6-4 overall) claimed game one of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, defeating Anderson in Quarterfinal action in double overtime, 1-0.

Cam Horsley led the Panthers, claiming the game-winning goal on one shot in 96 minutes of action.
Sophomore
Ginny Young claimed a game-high four shots, three of which landed on frame. Her teammate,
Kaleigh Schirmer added three shots.

Emma Patterson charted two saves and the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a competitive regulation, the Panthers cranked up the intensity. The second overtime saw the Blue and Red push the tempo. After surrendering an Anderson shot, Hanover countered with Schirmer, placing a shot that just missed.
Time continued to tick down on the Panthers when sophomore
Izzy Phillips fired a shot that struck the top cross bar. However, Horsely collected the deflection and found the back of the net with just 18 seconds remaining. Hanover finished the contest with a game-high 18 shots to the Ravens' four attempts.
Hanover advances to the HCAC Semifinals, traveling to Mount St. Joseph on Tuesday for a 7:00 PM start time.
