MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Hanover Panthers (1-0 overall) opened the 2025-26 season with a victory over the University of the Ozarks, 86-73, as part of the Rhodes College Classic.

Kaitlyn Lorenzi and Berman both recorded double-doubles. Lorenzi had an impressive 15 rebounds with 16 points while Berman pulled in 10 boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers built the win through consistent offensive pressure throughout all four quarters. The most dominant stretch came in the second quarter, where Hanover outscored the Eagles 23-14. Leading the charge was the duo of Berman and Lorenzi.
The second half saw the Panthers build on their double-digit lead as Berman netted back-to-back scores, pushing the difference to 68-52 in favor of Hanover minutes into the third frame.
Hanover's most consistent quarter came in the fourth, as they exploded for 27 points while shooting 42.1 percent from the field and were fantastic from the free-throw line. Berman led the free-throw charge, netting the final two of the contest en route to the 82-71 season-opening win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday when they take on Classic host Rhodes College. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
