WOOSTER, Ohio – Hanover (6-4 overall) hit the road for non-conference action on Monday evening at Wooster College, taking on UW-Platteville. The Panthers surrendered the contest to the Pioneers, 77-54.

William Herald, tying a game-high 17 points with four made three-pointers. Sophomore
Malachi McNair added 16 points. Junior
Cam Freeman dished out six assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panther offense struggled in the first half shooting just 25 percent from the field. UW-Platteville surged ahead 12-0 in the opening five minutes before a McNair runner in the lane halted the charge. Herald sank a three-pointer with under a minute remaining to pull HC within 33-19 at the intermission.
However, the shooting woes ensued as Platteville pushed their lead to as many as 58-34 midway through the second frame. Herald and McNair attempted to spark the offense capping a 7-2 run that cut the difference, 60-40. Herald tallied his fourth three-pointer of the evening, 17 points overall, with under five minutes remaining, 68-46. Hanover ultimately surrendered the contest 77-54. The Panthers finished the contest shooting just 39 percent from the field.
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, December 30 when they take on Geneva as part of the Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Classic at 4:00 PM.
