Maryville, TN- The Panthers of Hanover (3-2 overall) traveled to Maryville, TN to take on the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels and were unable to walk away with a win, losing 14-8.
On The Hill
Junior
John Girard (Richmond, KY) was tasked with starting the game for the Panthers and had four innings of work with two strikeouts and only one walk.
Freshman
Dylan Lloyd (Colerian, Ohio) came into relief for three innings and allowed only two earned runs with four strikeouts.
Junior
Jack Woodard (Carmel, IN) finished the game for the Panthers throwing the bottom of the eighth inning.
At The Plate
The first three innings were quiet for Hanover until a solo home run by fifth Year
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, IN) in the fourth inning.
Junior
Josh Simpson (Bardstown, KY) was able to get an RBI of his own in the sixth inning.
The Panthers then exploded in the eighth inning scoring six runs with the last three coming from a hot shot off the bat of sophomore
Dylan Toler (Sellersburg, IN) to tie the game in the 8-8.
Unfortunately, they were unable to find runs in the ninth inning surrendering the non-conference contest.
The Panthers will look to bounce back when they take on Maryville College on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
