Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Panthers (13-8 overall, 8-5 HCAC) picked up a key Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at Rose-Hulman on Wednesday evening, 73-67.
Hanover surged to a 5-0 lead over the opening five minutes as senior forward
Luke Miller (Madison, Ind.) drained a three-pointer. Sophomore
William Herald (Fort Thomas, Ky.) continued his hot streak from behind the arc, sinking his second of the contest with 9:41 to play giving Hanover an 18-9 difference.
Freshman
Jeremiah Alexander (Indianapolis, Ind.) was dominant for the Blue and Red as he showed off his range with a three-pointer. Hanover had it raining three-pointers in the first half, netting nine.
Luke Miller had the lead to double-digits at 6:12 with a three-pointer that saw the Panthers in front, 29-19. They entered the break with a 38-28 advantage.
Sophomore
Cam Freeman (Indianapolis, Ind.) exploded in the second half, helping Hanover extend the lead. Senior
Coleman Sater (Ellettsville, Ind.) was able to capitalize on the success of the long-range ball, scoring a hook shot at the 16:26 mark. Rose-Hulman pulled within 49-41 when Freeman reappeared. The sophomore stepped up in key moments hitting a big shot to halt a Rose-Hulman surge. Hanover secured the win at the free throw line, 73-67.
