HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (9-15 overall, 5-5 HCAC) welcomed Rose-Hulman in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon, dropping game one in extra innings 8-4 and game two
GAME ONE
IN THE CIRCLE
Senior
Lauren Beaman (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the start for Hanover, throwing five and one third innings, allowing just three runs on eight hits.
Freshman
Abby Horn (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and senior
Megan Ekart (Scottsburg, Ind.) both pitched relief, throwing one complete inning apiece.
AT THE PLATE
Hanover recorded two runs in the bottom of the first inning for the early lead. Sophomore
Olivia Planck (Lexington, Ky.) paced the scoring, reaching first on an error and later scoring on a Rose-Hulman mishap.
Rose-Hulman responded, adding two runs in the second inning and one run in the third inning for a 3-2 difference.
Freshman
Ashley Fulton (Hanover, Ind.) used a triple in the fifth inning to tie the contest 3-3.
But Rose-Hulman got the final say, using a five run eighth inning to claim game one 8-4.
GAME TWO
AT THE PLATE
Rose-Hulman claimed a 5-0 difference, scoring two runs in the first inning and three runs in the second inning.
Hanover plated three runs in the bottom of the third inning on four hits. Leading the surge was senior
Sydnie Raisor (Campbellsburg, Ky.) with a triple that scored two runs.
The Panthers tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning. Fulton doubled, scoring both Planck and Raisor to cut the difference to 9-6.

Freshman
Lulu Van Beek (Noblesville, Ind.) got the start, throwing one inning, allowing three runs on four hits.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 26 when they travel to Mount St. Joseph.
