HANOVER, Ind. - Hanover defended their home turf against Spalding University, winning the non-conference contest 12-4.
At The Plate
The Panthers totaled four runs in the first two innings, as Junior
Josh Simpson (Bardstown, KY) delt the first Hanover runs with an RBI single.
They then added six more runs between the fifth and sixth inning. Senior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, KY) started the scoring in the fifth on a two RBI home run. Â
The Panthers used a four run eighth inning to secure the non-conference win.
On The Hill
Freshman
Dylan Lloyd (Colerain, OH) got the win pitching for five and two thirds innings, allowing three runs and striking out three. Sophomore
Ashton Carie (Madison, IN) came into relief pitching one and a third innings while Junior
Quinten Shewmaker (Floyd's Knobs, IN) closed out the contest.

The Panthers conclude the regular season on Saturday and Sunday when the welcome Anderson for a three game series.
