Hanover, IN (Alumni Stadium) - The Hanover College Panthers played Transylvania University yesterday in a windy home HCLC match-up. Both teams had yet to play a conference game prior to yesterdays contest, but the Panthers boasted a 7-2 overall record heading into the contest, adn Transy came in at 7-4.
Transylvania came out swinging, netting the first seven goals, with six different goal scorers. Hanover responded with two quick, fast-break goals from senior defenseman

Colin O'Brien whon was assisted on the clear by freshman defenseman
Leonard Hughes.
The Pioneers struck back less than a minute later, but HC rattled off two more as senior midfielder
Owen Parker and junior attackman
Colin O'Brien cut the lead down to 8-4.
TU went on to put together another three-goal run before the end of the first half, and HC junior attackman
Colin O'Brien completed the first half hat-trick off an assist from senior defenseman
Scott Dues. Hanover trailed 5-11 at the end of the first half.
HC struggled to run with the depth of Transylvania through the second half, and ultimately went on to fall in the contest 22-7.
Hanover will return to action this Saturday, April 5th, in their final non-conference game of the 2025 season. HC faces off against the Franciscan University Barons at 1:00PM EST.
