RICHMOND, Ind. – Hanover (9-5 overall, 3-4 HCAC) walked all over Earlham on Saturday afternoon in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action, defeating Quakers 69-40.

Alexis Wines netted a game-high 15 points with five rebounds and four assists. Junior
Sammy Berman added 11 points while senior
Kaitlyn Lorenzi pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds, 10 of which were defensive rebounds.
Sophomore
Keaton Gatlin finished the afternoon with a perfect 2-for-2 mark from three-point range.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover dominated the Quakers of Earlham from the opening tip-off outscoring them 21-5 in the first frame. The first quarter domination was led by Wines with nine points. The senior was successful from everywhere hitting a three-pointer at the 8:00 minute mark before draining a pair of free-throws. Berman added seven quarter points.
The three-ball continued to rain in the second quarter as junior
Ava Sowder showed off her range netting five straight points for a 32-12 lead. Hanover entered the intermission with a commanding 32-17 advantage.
Six different Panthers recorded three-pointers, including sophomore
Macy Cline and Lorenzi who sparked a 10-0 run to open the second half. Hanover outscored Earlham 16-6 in the frame for a 48-23 lead.
The Panthers secured the HCAC victory 69-40. Hanover finished the contest shooting 31 percent from the floor, a strong 38 percent from three-point.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 14 when they welcome Rose-Hulman to Collier Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
