Box Score BETHANY, W.V. – The Panthers (1-2 overall) hit the road for non-conference action at Bethany, dominating the Bison in a 25-6 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Seven different Panthers scored in the contest led by freshman
Jack Deweese with six goals and three assists. He also had a team-high 19 shots, 11 of which landed on frame.
Freshman
Mack Langridge also had six goals and two assists with three caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Kasey Hospelhorn had success at the dot going 5-of-9 with eight ground balls in total.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover scored early and often as they surged ahead 4-0 getting offensive output from Hospelhorn and freshman
Kane Powell-Smith. The scoring frenzy ensued as senior
Colin O'Brien delt two goals with strikes also coming from sophomore
Dean Henderson and
Jack Deweese for the 8-1 first period lead.
In the second frame, junior
Gabe Hetrick picked up his first goal of the afternoon while
Mack Langridge joined the excitement, 10-1. The advantage reached double digits as Deweese and Hospelhorn packed a one-two punch.
Langridge completed his hat trick in the third quarter as he went back-to-back sending Hanover into the final period with the dominating 19-1 difference.
The final frame saw Powell-Smith tally his second career goal while Deweese added two more goals to his game total. Hanover finished with a commanding 62 shots, 40 of which landed on frame.
