HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (12-9 overall, 8-6 HCAC) surrendered a double overtime thriller on Wednesday evening with Rose-Hulman 87-80.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In a highly competitive contest, the two teams exchanged points for much of the first half. Alexander paced the Hanover offense as he helped them claim a double-digit advantage 19-9. The lead reached as many as 23-11 when the Fightin' Engineers responded.
Rose-Hulman was able to difference to 39-35 at the intermission. The Engineers finished the half shooting 57 percent from the floor, including four three-pointers.
The intensity picked up in the second half as both teams felt the pressure mount. The half belonged to Rose-Hulman as a score with just six second remaining sent the contest into overtime knotted at 72-72.
After a very slow first overtime that saw both programs tally just one score a piece, the game proceeded to a second overtime. The frame saw Rose-Hulman use a 5-0 run to outscore Hanover 13-6 en route to a 87-80 victory.
