Hanover Celebrates Senior Day with Centenary

HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (3-6 overall) celebrated Senior Day welcoming the Gents of Centenary to Alumni Stadium. Hanover fell 18-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After finding themselves trailing 3-0, the Panther attack erupted. Leading the surge was freshman Jack DeWeese with back-to-back goals. Senior Colin O'Brien tied the game with just over two minutes remaining in the opening period.

The non-conference battle ensued as Hanover claimed their first lead on a Mack Langridge goal, 4-3. They extended their advantage in the second period with sophomore Kasey Hospelhorn draining a shot in front of frame, 7-5.

However, the Gents used a three goal outburst to flip the score in favor of the visitors, 8-7.

O'Brien added a clutch goal at the 9:29 mark in the third quarter that saw the Panthers back on top 9-8. But the fourth quarter was not kind to Hanover as Centenary scored the final three points for the 18-10 win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
DeWeese led the Panthers with a team-high three goals for a combined three points. He had 11 shots, four of which landed on frame.

Hospelhorn added three goals and an assist for four points. He also went 3-for-9 at the dot.
