Girard Pitches Complete Game as Hanover Defeats MSJ on Senior Day

Hanover, IN - Hanover (9-11 overall, 4-2 HCAC) defended their home field from Mount St Joseph (6-12 overall, 2-4 HCAC) on Saturday, winning both games. The final scores were 4-3 and 3-2.

Game 1
At The Plate
The Panthers stayed quiet until the eighth inning when they scored all four runs of the game Freshman Kadin Bush (New Albany, IN) made the clutch hit with a 2 RBI single, these runs gave them a one run lead going into the final inning.

On The Hill
Sophomore Wyatt Colvin got handed the game ball to start the game and he lasted five innings allowing only two earned runs. Freshman Parker Heaney (Carmel, IN) finished out the last four innings allowing no runs and striking out six.

Game 2 
At The Plate
Freshman Fox Spears (Danville, KY) started the scoring in the fourth inning on an RBI single up the middle. In the sixth inning, they took the lead on a Senior Josh Simpson (Bardstown, KY) RBI double and a wild pitch.
 
On The Hill
Senior John Girard (Richmond, KY) dominated for nine innings for a complete game giving up only two runs and striking out 13.

The Panthers look to sweep MSJ on Sunday. Game time is set for 2:00 PM EST.
