Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Hanover (2-3 overall) took on the Purple Raiders of Mount Union on Saturday afternoon, falling 17-10.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Hanover tallied 43 shots, 20 of which landed on goal. Leading the surge was
Jack Deweese with five goals on 14 shots. He also added an assist and two caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Kasey Hospelhorn had nine shots with five ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers found the back of the net with 6:32 remaining in the opening frame as
Dean Henderson took a pass from
Colin O'Brien for the strike, 3-1.
Jack Deweese provided the last goal of the first quarter for the Blue and Red as they closed out the frame trailing 4-2.
Deweese added his second goal of the contest moments into period number two as he halted the Mount Union offense. O'Brien added a blow at the 7:01 mark before Deweese completed the first half hat trick, 10-5.
The second half saw
Mack Langridge enter the scorer's column with Henderson adding his second blow. Deweese closed out the scoring for Hanover as they fell to Mount Union 17-10.
