HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (4-6 overall) walked off Sewanee on Sunday afternoon, winning game one 7-6 before sweeping game two 9-8.
GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior
Madi Kammer got the party started in the bottom of the first inning as she picked up an RBI with a line drive to shortstop.
The Tigers responded using two runs in the third inning, one run in the fourth inning, and three in the fifth inning for a 6-1 lead.
However, the Panthers came clawing back as sophomore
Sydney Foy played spoiler all afternoon. The sophomore picked up her first RBI in the bottom of the fifth inning with a single to right center. Kammer added another run later in the inning on a hard hit ball up the middle, 6-3.
Foy remained red hot at the dish collecting another RBI in the sixth inning as she scored sophomore
Ashley Fulton. The clutch RBI came in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and two outs. The catcher roped a ball to right center scoring the winning run.
IN THE CIRCLE
Sophomore
Lulu Van Beek got the start throwing five complete innings allowing just two earned runs. Freshman
Chloey Leach picked up the win throwing two innings allowing just one hit.
GAME TWO
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tigers secured a 4-0 lead through three innings when the Panther bats came alive.
Madi Kammer started the scoring for the Blue and Red with an RBI to right field. The scoring ensued as freshman
Savannah Riley singled to right before freshman
Karsyn Naue pushed another run across the plate, 4-4.
Hanover claimed their first lead in the sixth inning as Lily Cunagin laid down a textbook sacrifice bunt, 7-6.
However, the fire works came in the bottom of the seventh inning sophomore
Addison Smith singled to second base scoring freshman
Morgan Bailey to walk off game two, 9-8.

Sophomore Alyssa Wheatly claimed the win as she threw one inning allowing just one hit on five batters faced.
