Simpson Clutch with Late Game RBI to Propel HC Past Rose-Hulman

Hanover, IN - Hanover (10-12 overall, 5-3 HCAC) won a tough nine-inning battle with Rose Hulman to improve their HCAC record, winning 9-7.

In The Box
Senior Josh Simpson (Bardstown, KY) started the scoring in the first inning on a RBI single to left. Freshman Jack Shaeffer (West Lafayette, IN) piped a three run homer in the second inning to put them up 4-1.

The Panthers combined for four more runs in seventh and eighth inning with the ninth and final run coming on another Jack Shaeffer solo home run. 

On The Mound
Senior John Girard (Richmond, KY) got tasked with the start lasting six innings and allowing only one earned run and striking out four. Freshman Michael Kirk (Loveland, IN) got the save in the final inning allowing no hits.


Hanover looks to take the series tomorrow  with first pitch slated for 1:00 PM.
