HANOVER, Ind. - Hanover College senior men's soccer player Omar Dizdar has been named the recipient of the Bill Griffin Mental Attitude Award as well as the Lexi Riggles Award, two honors that reflect his exceptional character, perseverance and impact on the Hanover community.
 
The Lexi Riggles Award, named in memory of former Hanover women's basketball player Lexi Riggles, recognizes a student-athlete who embodies the same spirit of positivity, compassion and love for others.
 
A cornerstone of the Panther men's soccer program, Dizdar has exemplified what it means to be a Hanover student-athlete throughout his career. Known for giving 110 percent in everything he does, Omar's work ethic and dedication have made a lasting impact both on the field and across campus.
 
A friend to everyone he meets, Dizdar is the kind of person who is always the first to lend a helping hand. Whether supporting teammates, assisting classmates or taking on his many leadership roles around campus, he approaches every opportunity with positivity and purpose.
 
Beyond his success as a student-athlete, Dizdar has been heavily involved across Hanover's campus community, balancing several roles while maintaining the same commitment that define his character.
